Background

The Filii Nihilum (Latin for: Children of Nothing) are an organization of replicas (extraterrestrial entities), who emulate a human appearance to blend into an unsuspecting world for motives yet to be revealed. Not much is known about these alien creatures, as they were regarded as creatures of old myth. However, one of their members, Apparatus -the machine replica, infiltrated the Mubarak confounds but was ultimate subdued and taken captive by the Mubarak. They used his machine prowess to create giant drones for the invading army on the Day of Rebirth. Flint was also able sense and identify that Issac Vorontsov as one these strange enitities, despite Issac himself lacking any knowledge of who or what replicas actually were. A few members of the Filii Nihilum make an appearance in the final chapter of the first novel unveiling many future plans hovering over the horizon, as of now.

Trivia

• Outside of Hypnos and Moros, The Filii Nihilim all share a Latin motif, similar to how the Mubarak all seem to share an Egyptian motif.
• Its interesting to note that each Filii Nihilum member's eye color represents the element they control. Notable examples include: Hypnos' eye color is purple, which he controls illusions and sleep; Ignis' eye color is red, in which he controls fire; Aqua's eye color is blue, in which she controls water; Ike's eye color is silver, in which he controls sound.
